Video Reference:
The reference picture must be in either Apple ProRes Proxy in a .mov container or DNxHD in a .mxf container.
These settings will generate approximately 5gb to 10gb per 10 minutes of footage.
The picture should be edited with the FFOA (First Frame of Action) on 01:00:00:00.
If delivering as separate reels, each new reel should start on the following hour.
Example: Reel 2 - 02:00:00:00; Reel 3 - 03:00:00:00
The video reference should have a Burnt-in Timecode matching the timeline timecode. (Make sure FFOA is on 01:00:00:00)
An academy leader or 2 pop at 00:59:58:00 (exactly 2 seconds before the first frame of the action ).
Mark any VFX shots as needed.
AAF settings when using Adobe Premiere Pro:
AAF without video
Sample Rate: 48000
Bit Depth: 24
FIles: Separate Audio*
Format: Broadcast Wave
Handle Length: 10 seconds
This will generate two files. One file with a .aaf extension and another folder with all the audio files. We will require both of these
*An embedded AAF is acceptable for short projects and commercials.
AAF settings when using Davinci Resolve:
Disable video
Sample Rate: 48000
Bit Depth: 24
Files: Embedded AAF
Handle Length: 10 seconds
AAF settings when using Final Cut Pro:
Final Cut Pro requires third-party software to export the AAF correctly.
Please contact us before exporting the AAF.
Opening and Ending Idents:
Any opening logos or idents should already be in the picture lock video.
End credits or Pack Shots
It would be ideal to include end credits or the pack shot. If it is not possible at the time of delivery, extend the video by the estimated length.
Additional Audio Files:
For feature-length fiction films and episodic content:
All the Production sound files from the set for alternate takes and room tones, wild tracks
For documentary content:
Room tones and wild tracks, if provided by the sound recordist.
